MATTHEW DAVEY

Facilities Assistant

Matthew was raised Roman Catholic and began attending Harvest with his family when he was 7 years old. It wasn’t until 2022 that Matthew began to finally see the Lord’s work in his life, and after a night at Harvest Youth he broke down and truly committed his life to the Lord.

Since then, he has served at Harvest on both the worship team and as a youth leader and is aspiring to ministry, currently at Heritage College & Seminary for his Bachelor of Theology.

One of Matthew’s favourite verses is Philippians 1:21-24: “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account.” This verse is a reminder of the mission that Christians are to be on — sharing the gospel with all.
