Looking to Connect?

Connections Desk

The Connections Desk is the place for first-time guests to connect with our church. It is located in the lobby near the main entrance to our building. If you have never done so, we invite you to drop by after any of our weekend services to meet briefly with a representative from our Harvest family. He or she would love to extend you a warm welcome and help answer any questions you may have or assist you connecting in any way. While you are there, you can sign up for Harvest Essentials, where you will learn more about our church and have an extended opportunity to meet with others who are new.

HARVEST ESSENTIALS IS A MONTHLY OPPORTUNITY THAT WE PROVIDE FOR NEWCOMERS AND THOSE EXPLORING OUR CHURCH.

This interactive class will give you a solid understanding of what it means to be a growing disciple of Jesus, and you will also learn about the distinctives of Harvest Bible Chapel.

Thanks so much for your desire to serve at Harvest. Serving in the ministries here helps to grow our church and give back what the Lord has given to us.

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.  1 Peter 4:10-11

We Believe True Disciples
Worship, Walk, Work and Witness
for Jesus Christ

At Harvest Bible Chapel, we believe that baptism by immersion in water identifies a believer with Jesus in his death, burial, and resurrection. Although baptism is not required for salvation, it is commanded for all believers to obey. Scripture shows that individuals were baptized after receiving forgiveness of sin and placing their faith in Jesus, and is the biblically-prescribed mark of our spiritual union with Christ. While we would be excited to have you baptized during a worship service at Harvest, believer’s baptism may take place in various venues or situations following conversion subject to the protocols established by our elders.

Belonging, fulfilment, relationship, encouragements…these are just some of the words that come to mind when we think of good reasons to join a church like Harvest. By joining, you will also know that you are following the pattern laid out in the Bible for followers of Jesus Christ.

REASONS FOR MEMBERSHIP

We believe that membership in a local church is the biblical pattern for followers of Jesus. And it really does make a difference! No matter which campus you attend we invite you to consider pursuing membership in Harvest Bible Chapel.

• It demonstrates my commitment to Christ and his people
• It makes a powerful statement in our low-commitment culture
• It fights against my tendency toward unhealthy independence
• It keeps me spiritually accountable and under godly authority
• It helps pastors and elders to be more faithful shepherds

REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP

• Testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ
• Baptism as a believer
• Completion of our Harvest Essentials class
• Submission of a membership application
• Interview with an elder
• Publication of membership intent for three weeks
