Children of Promise Ministries (CHIPROMs) is an orphanage and transition home in Ibadan, Nigeria, funded solely by compassionate and loving donors. It was founded by Dayo and Tinu Idowu, Nigerians who migrated to Canada in the 1980s, after a visit to their native country moved them to action. Having encountered a staggering number of children who were living on the streets and in dysfunctional homes, the Idowus were determined to establish a safe place that offered hope and a future.

Since 2005, CHIPROMs has been providing food, shelter, clothing, counselling, protection, and advocacy for children who would otherwise be in vulnerable situations. Regardless of a child’s background, ethnicity, or religion, CHIPROMs strives to foster a home environment where care, love, education, and support are prioritized.
