This weekend is the fifth Sunday of the month, so we’ll be gathering for a Family Service. You and your whole family are invited to join us as we worship together. Don’t worry if things get a little noisy; we love having children worship with us, and I am certain they will enjoy it, too. For those who need it, Harvest Kids will be available downstairs for children from ages 0 to 3. With this, we’re also excited to have Daniel Allard bring the Word. Daniel has done an incredible job launching and leading our Harvest Kids ministry since the start of our campus. He’ll be taking us through 1 Kings 18:1-46, where we’ll see how God alone is worthy of our fear, worship, and trust. I encourage you to take some time before Sunday to read through the passage and come ready to hear from God and be challenged by his Word.

When God makes himself known, I will…

…fear him alone (v. 1-21)

Luke 9:23

…fall down before him (v. 22-40)

An idol is anything more important to you than God, anything that absorbs your heart and imagination more than God, anything you seek to give you what only God can give. – Tim Keller, Counterfeit Gods

…fully trust in him (v. 41-46)
