BRAD ELLIS

Elder

Brad grew up in the Halton area and attended the Church of Christ, a small rural church that his parents still attend. He turned his life over to Christ and was baptized at the age of 13 in 1978.

Brad met Mary Anne in the mid-80s, married in 1989, and moved to Barrie. They are blessed with three children: Logan, Sawyer, and Mariah, as well as two wonderful daughters-in-law and two grandchildren.

Brad and Mary Anne became members of Harvest Barrie in 2006. Over the last 20+ years, Brad has served as a deacon, a small group coach, and a Life Group leader. He also serves communion and greets in Guest Central.

Now retired from teaching Technology at Barrie North Collegiate, he continues to supply teach from time to time.

Brad loves traveling and paddling all types of watercraft. He especially senses God’s presence and sees his majesty while spending time in his creation. Brad also enjoys serving in the community, primarily at the Barrie Food Bank and with Christmas Cheer.

He cherishes God’s Word and highly esteems Philippians 2:3–4: “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
